1836 - Holy Trinity Church, Horfield, Bristol. Grade II*. NHLE entry: 1202667. *Alterations to transepts and chancel. **Church rebuilt to designs of William Butterfield in c.1847 but unclear whether any of Hick's alterations have survived. (Lambeth Palace Library).
1841 - St John's Place, Clifton, Bristol. Grade II. NHLE entry: 1203518. *Chancel added by Samuel Burleigh Gabriel in 1864.
1843 - Church of St Thomas, Pilning and Severn Beach. Grade II. NHLE entry: 1312454.
1843 - Church of St Peter, Monkton Farleigh. Grade II*. NHLE entry: 1285556. *Rebuilding of Nave.
1844 - Church of St Peter, Filton, Gloucestershire. Grade II. NHLE entry: 1128827.

1843-1844 - St George's Church (St George Parish) Summerhill Road, Gloucestershire. *Hicks church was destroyed by fire in c.1878 but redesigned by Hicks' former apprentice Phillip Edward Masey Junior, whose church was demolished in 1976.
1845 - St Andrew Church, Montpelier. Demolished in 1969.
